Oekaki SetoXD!

Sunday Oekaki, 5 hours work ^_^

For this I used Paint BBS size
(350X450) first mistake, without palette*have to mix Red, Blue and green colors
to get what I want*

>_<.

1-First I start with the sketch on
the background layer with solid brush size1px, Opacity 255.

Dark blue or red color!

2-

I've moved the Image little up with the copy tool and also resized it

3- ok the size are ok ,now I'm going
to add more details to the sketch so, going to select  with the rectangle tool
,white color ,opacity  125

Still on the same layer

Going to drag the rectangle on the
whole image

4-add more details to the sketch, then repeat the step 3*again*

The line
art

before I
start the line arts

1-I select the water color
brush, black color

2-A241

3-size 1px

4-right click on the black*
square this will save the brush setting!*

5-go to the layer FG Zoom in
twice

6- start coloring, I usually
start with the eyes or the face

This may take more than an
hour, but in this image I don't need strong line arts, just some lines to
not be lost while coloring ^_^

XD!

For the face and the hands I've used the brown color

After I have finished tracing the sketch, I’ve switched back to the back ground
and erased the solid sketch from it

The line art
on the FG layer  !!

Coloring

Still on the BG
layer, going to start coloring the skin first, with the solid brush at the first
any size ^_^

This is my new
coloring style

(I always start
coloring the skin with the light color then add the darker shades, but this time
is different)

I've start with
mid tone color

then with the water color brush ,A200,size 5px

with light skin color tone ,colored the light areas

with the same brush setting ,going
to select the darker skin tones to add the shadows

after finishing the coloring ,*
I'm happy with the coloring , no need to use the blur tool to make the shades
softer* .

now me going select the solid brush any color

and start coloring on the extra areas and the eyes  !

ok now I'm going to clean the extra colors with
the masking

do you see the
normal button  this is the mask tool

going to click
with the right button on it * this will change the color from black to the color
I'm using currently *

right click on the mask button

then select
the remask and with the eraser  ,erase
the extra color

Clear &Clean

This is the most
important part going to merge the colored area with line arts

With the Layer
Unite tool on the FG layer, going to select the skin area

Now the linear
and the colored parts are both on the top layer and the BG layer is clean

The hair

For coloring the
hair I used the same technique of coloring the skin at the first, and then I
have used the blur tool Opacity 230 to blend the colors together, and then with
the 1px water color brush add the details

After coloring
and cleaning the extra colors, I used the layer Unite tool to merge the hair
with the top layer

And going to do
the same thing with the other parts * color, clean and merge*

Finished coloring
all the Parts * now the character is on the FG layer and we have an empty BG
layer to use it for coloring the background

Don’t have any idea for the back ground, so I m going to mix some colors to see
what I'll get *

adding some
shades with the black color ,water color brush, size15px

more color then
blend them with the blur tool !

The back ground
is finish now, cant think of any thing else.

Ok I'm going to
move every thing to the BG layer by using the Layer Unite tool

After that I'll
draw some yellow spots on the FG layer with the water color brush to get the
lights

 flipped the
image with Flip horizon tool  and added some finishing touches
